2010 Summer Intensive and China Tour

33 dancers from across the U.S., 9 companions and 5 staff members spent three weeks in Long Beach before departing on July 16 for a three-week China tour.  The first week was spent in the southern city of Guangzhou, China's third largest city with its second largest ballet company.  The dancers watched the Guangzhou Ballet rehearse when not rehearsing themselves in preparation of for their first performance of "Ballet American Style.".
Other highlights included sharing performances with local dance groups in Nanjing, Kaifeng and Luo Yang, plus spending a day with the National Ballet of China in Beijing and attending their performance at their new theater.
