Identical twins Megan and Leah are natives of Long Beach. They began training at the Long Beach Ballet in 1984 with David Wilcox and Linda Gonzales. The following eight years at LBB included training with Julia Ellis, two summers at the School of American Ballet and two summers at the San Francisco Ballet School on full scholarship. In June 1990 they competed at the IV USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson , Mississippi with coaching from Julia Ellis and David Wilcox. They shared the role of Clara in Los Angeles Classical Ballet's production of The Nutcracker for three years, later joining the Company in the corps de ballet. In 1991 they were offered a year round scholarship to the San Francisco Ballet School and entered the San Francisco Ballet as apprentices the following year. They performed with the San Francisco Ballet for seven years. They have now been teaching for 2 years and are earning their BA degrees at St. Mary's College.
