Shannon Humphries

Shannon started dancing at age four as physical therapy for a debilitating muscle disease.  She began at the Placentia Parks and Rec but soon moved on to the Hirschl Ballet School in Anaheim.  She studied ballet, tap and Jazz under Richard and Laurie Hirschl and Yumi Crumley.  Shannon started training at the Long Beach Ballet in 1997.  She performed in the Glory of Easter and was a soloist in the Glory of Christmas at the Crystal Cathedral.  She has also trained at summer programs in Houston and Pittsburgh, where she was invited to stay year-round.  In 2002 Shannon accompanied Mr. Wilcox to China to perform during a three week tour in the ballet "Aladdin."  She trained with the Pittsburgh Ballet from 2001-2003.
