Rebecca Thompson

Rebecca began her ballet training at the age of eight with Salwa Rizkalla and came to Long Beach Ballet at the age of 12 to study with Mr. Wilcox.  She joined Wilcox's professional company at the age of 17 and won 2nd place in the Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Awards.  Later Rebecca danced with Kirk Peterson's Hartford Ballet and State Street Ballet, where several ballets were created for her by renown choreographers such as Robert Sund.  She also spent 14 weeks in China with Mr. Wilcox as his assistant for the choreography of La Bayadere and Cinderella.
