Hanabusa
Mayumi Hanabusa began her training in Japan with Yoshie Hikasa. She first came to the U.S. at the invitation of David Wilcox, who recognized her potential watching a video of her performing with her Japanese ballet school. She trained at the Long Beach Ballet Academy for two years before joining the professional company, where she performed the role of Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet," the Sugar Plum Fairy in "The Nutcracker."
