Marina Shiferman

Marina began her training at the Long Beach Ballet at the age of 6.  She performed the leading role of Snow Queen in "The Nutcracker" at the age of 12.  At the age of 14 she won the Gold Medal in Southern California Youth American Grand Prix.  She trained full time at the Universal Ballet Academy in Washington D.C. in 2002 and 2003.  In December 0f 2003 she was featured in the Long Beach Ballet Nutcracker as the Dewdrop fairy after which she was forced to stop dancing due to a medical condition.  She is currently on the road to recovery.  (Age 14 pictured above.)
