Jessica began her training at the age of three at the West Coast Conservatory of Ballet in the city of Orange, where she studied with Kristen Olsen-Potts and Helen Clarke. She began training with David Wilcox at the Long Beach Ballet at the age of 12, where she also worked with Tatiana Kasatsky and Lisa Marie Goodwin. In 2000 she began full-time study at the Houston Ballet on scholarship. In December of 2001 she performed the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy as a guest in the Long Beach Ballet's production of The Nutcracker. In 2004 she signed a contract with Texas Ballet Theater under the direction of Ben Stevenson.
