First Choreographed by Mr. Wilcox in 1995 for LBBAC's 15th Annual School Performance, it became immediately apparent that this ballet had the potential to grow into a professional production. In 2000 Mr. Wilcox was invited to tour "Aladdin" to Taiwan for three weeks. The ballet was adapted for this tour and Sergei Domrachev of the Moscow Classical Ballet, on whom the role of Aladdin was originally created, toured with the production. The following year, in August of 2001, Mr. Wilcox toured the production once again, this time to China for a three week, six-city tour, and included several of his students from Long Beach Ballet Arts Center on the tour.
